so this drop might have a serious issue with commitment since the release of the GTX 980 ti its price versus performance ratio is on par with GTX 970 with I voted for too but since the 980 ti came out I would much rather commit to it. Although maybe at least 400 people that committed to this will still get the 970 but I would much rather wait a month for gigabyte to release their 980 ti and do a mass drop on that

mark0541You can easily change your vote from 970 to 980ti

Anzial1. not everyone knows the 980ti came out yet 2. the 980 ti will only be available in a month from good companies like gigabyte and asus so if the poll can wait that long then shure.

mark05411) those who are actually looking to upgrade videocards do know. Those who don't, do not and the poll will be of no interest to them either. 2) 980 ti from Asus and Gygabyte are already available in the US. Seen both show up for sale on newegg's website. Amazon also offers both on backorder. Granted, numbers are limited and they sell out pretty quick.
But to be fair, I don't think this poll will make any difference anyways. MD will never sell videocards, and this poll is a purely academic exercise in determining what's best for now in GPU world :)

Anzialwhy do you think that MD would never sell video cards. and yea i mean t that it will be a while until the price stabilizes and it will actually be possible to do a md.

mark0541Well, reasons were posted earlier in this thread. Besides, it has 4k votes. If it was going to happen, it would've happened already.
EDIT: nvidia branded 980 ti is back in stock on nvidia's website. Shipping to US & Canada only, though. Even at $650 it's a good deal, although next year it may not look like it :D

AnzialIf what you say is true it's likely the fault of the card manufacturers rather than MD.

Gen0And what exactly did I say that you construed as laying the blame on MD?

AnzialSaying "MD will never sell video cards" rather than "Card Manufacturers will never let MD sell video cards" without further clarification, I would suppose. It reads like MD made the choice either way.

Gen0Stop nitpicking. I stated the fact, which IS that MD will never sell videocards. If you read that it's MD's choice, well, that's your problem because I neither implied nor said that. If you want to add that clarification, go right ahead, but DO NOT PUT WORDS INTO MY MOUTH.
