Right, here's more information straight from Western Digital about why not to use Blues, Greens, or even Blacks in any RAID beyond a simple two drive 0 or 1 configuration.

Forgot to point out that they also explicitly state that Reds are specifically designed for NAS use, so those are the way to go if that's what you're looking for. My house's FreeNAS server currently has 8 of the 3TB Reds in a double redundancy ZFS setup, and we have had zero issues in the year and a half or so it's been running.
