I currently am using 4 of the 3TB reds in my NAS. Zero problems so far even with several improper shutdowns. I wouldn't mind getting several more in the near future. It would have be a significant discount to beat amazon or newegg though.
What's the point of having different drive sizes in the poll? It should have been 4 TB + drives only.

That's not in normal use. The drives being used in this test are being used in a storage server.
These aren't marked at MSRP are they? They seem to be listed at or only slightly above the current prices on the listed websites. (probably price drops on the websites)
guys the black drives are much faster, the red drives are meant for raids and backing up data and meant to be bought in pairs
i suggest y'all do a little research about the RED drives before you vote on them... WD RED drives prove to be a little finicky when it comes to hardware configuration, such as a NAS setup, RAID setup, hybrid RAID, etc.
if planning to use these drives in RAID or NAS configurations, check the latest supported drives for the specific hardware the drives will be installed into.

I imagine some people voting for the WD Reds have NAS setups or RAIDs and are hoping to get a number of these for a discount. I, for one, am eyeing getting another 4 for my NAS.
