Laser pointer enthusiasts are a thing? Fascinating. What else can you do with them?

Jokes aside, this may not be available in Canada as our government have strict rules regarding lasers
Guys, PLEASE do not vote a Wicked Lasers laser to the top. They are the Skullcandy of lasers: popular amongst the uninformed, but woefully overpriced and beyond-horrible quality, due to marketing hype. See here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f65/33-reasons-not-buy-wicked-lasers-56289.html Everyone within the enthusiast community knows simply NOT to buy from WL. They're untrustworthy snakes. We should be buying from Dragon Lasers, Survival Laser, or LaserGlow.

Hey guys - quick update here. In general, we can source a ton of laser pointer products, accessories, and parts (typically great prices). We also have laserpointerforums.com very excited about working with us (both the community members and the admins).
However.
Based on our initial research on import requirements, it looks like it's prohibited to import and sell lasers that are higher than 5mW (which are all the ones that you guys want). We haven't yet spoken to a lawyer to get them to confirm or provide any additional info, but I wanted to keep you guys in the loop.
If any of you happen to have some extra time and are interested in helping the group out, any info you can find related to importing restrictions in the US will help us move it along much more quickly. We'll definitely be sure to confirm with our legal counsel before running the drop, but any info helps.
Note: Based on our talks with some vendors on how other laser pointer resellers bypass this regulation, we were told that it's common practice to "accidentally" mislabel your 500mW laser as 5mW. Given the volume that we're planning on doing, this would only end up poorly for everybody in the drop. Also it's illegal. Also we don't want to go to jail.
