Crary boots is an older company with danner history breaking into contemporary boots which I recommend. They have a brown and black color. http://www.craryboots.com/product/burnside/
If an item wins a poll, does it guarantee a drop will follow? Or is this just to get people excited about items that may crop up? I'm very interested in these boots. Thanks.
Picked up some of the Oak Street Bootmakers Trench boots when they were dropped before. Absolutely fantastic boots. Easy to clean and maintain, tough as the Dickens. They belong in a museum case as much as they belong in a New York winter.
Guys, look up the variations on the Alden Indy or Stanyan boots. Alden will custom make the perfect boot--in my opinion the Stanyan round toe boot with the hard rubber heel and commando sole. Oak Street's are nice too, but Alden has been around for a long time.
I would recommend White's Boots. Problem for online-ordering is they're custom made for each person. So you have to fill out their order form & literally trace your feet, as well as measuring them in a couple other ways in addition to your normal sizing.
