any news on the shure se846
The 846 are dropped right now!! I already committed on them :D
Omg i want those SE846 SO MUCH
We've reached out to the vendor, but unfortunately the SE846 isn't a viable option for a drop at this time. I am going to close the poll for now but will update you if anything changes.
We have previously dropped the Shure SE535 ( If we receive enough requests for this product again, we will certainly talk to the vendor about another drop.
I would be quite happy if you could get the SE846
We are still working on sourcing these products and will keep you updated if we make progress.
We're speaking with Shure right now in hopes of sourcing the SE846 Sound Isolating™ Earphones and will keep you posted on the status. We will update the group on or before 10/24.
Cool. I've been waiting for a se846 drop! Nice job massdrop~
Check into the Westone Pro-20. They're similar to the Shures but better. They're lighter which reduces ear strain and the sound quality is better. The only reason Shures are getting voted for more is because they're a little bit more well known.
Thanks for all of your votes! We're currently working on sourcing mid-high end IEMs, specifically the Shures that were voted for in the poll. Stay tuned.
General consensus in most headphone forums would probably be stuff above US$300 MSRP for mid-fi (although I'm not too agreeable with the term). Street price is not considered as a proper benchmark price so if you can find it cheaper than MSRP then lucky you. :)
About what price point constitutes midrange IEMs? Would $100 make for acceptable recommendations? I know there are some amazing IEMs floating around that MSRP/street price.
