I'm also noticing we have 2 contingents: a sub-$500 RAID1 group (that's okay with just 2 bays), and a group for multi-bay, more full-featured servers over $500. Since the poll-creator requested something under $500 (retail? final?), perhaps a 2nd poll should be created to measure the interest for a bigger NAS. I'd also be interested in hearing from people with more experience than me in this sort of system.

edgardeI agree. I didn't notice the $500 limit when I added the 8 bay unit and I cannot locate a way to remove the added option. Someone want to start a poll for 5+ drive units?
