Pandora One (Six Month Subscription)

Hi Guys,
We just went live with a 6-month subscription for Pandora One, it comes out to $3.665/month at the lowest drop, but if this gets enough traction, that price will go down. Check it out when you get a chance: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/pandora-one

thinking of doing the same with Google Play All Access now?
Hi Guys,
Just got word from Spotify that they are not interested in working with the community at this time, so I've disabled the option to not get anyone's hopes up. But in other news... Pandora is very doable. Keep tabs on this page and I'll make an announcement soon.
Cheers,
Andy
Grooveshark probably has the best chance of happening. They still have a very non-corporate vibe.
if you have never heard of Last.fm i suggest checking it out - IMO the radio algorithm is better at choosing songs in the same sub-genera of music you were listening to. I also find it has MUCH more depth of underground music.
you guys realize Google music will make you limited to android soon right?
Seriously, no one likes Beats Music? I hate Beats headphones, but the app is actually pretty good, and the sound quality is great, as far as I can tell. Not a huge difference in quality from the local FLAC files in Poweramp on my phone (aside from lack of EQ), its amp is probably the limiting factor.

company was bought by apple. it will be a store front for itunes in a week.
Added 6 alternatives to the list.
Is this a kind of product that can seriously be 'group bought' at some lower rate?

Absolutely. If there is enough guaranteed interest, a 'corporate rate'-type agreement could be reached with the vendor. Massdrop will simply have to negotiate a scheme similar to how employers negotiate discounts for their employees with specific vendors (think travel partners, like airlines).
