Audioengine A5+ Wireless Speaker System

I've read that the Adam Audio F5s are better than the Emotivas, but they're also $150 more expensive per pair (F5s: $500 vs Airmotiv 4s: $350) and I don't know if the price increase is warranted? I've never heard either speaker in person, this is all just research. They're certainly both fantastic speakers and almost undoubtedly better than the Audioengine offerings.
http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/audioengine-a5

The Emotivas are often suggested, but always overlooked. Every single review I've read has said that the emotivs are far better than the Audioengines (On both the high- and low-end), and they start at a lower price.

I have yet to read a single review arguing against the Emotiva Airmotiv 4s. In my mind, they should definitely get a following: one large enough to warrant a mass buy.

P.S. The differences between the Airmotiv 4s and 5s are that the 4s are smaller, cheaper and quieter. That being said, they're still plenty loud enough for home use. I think they're definitely the better buy.

Hey cool, I added the Emotivas to the list. :)

I've never had a chance to hear the ribbon tweeter in person--I hope to be able to do that someday (or just take a chance and buy them). Emotiva has a very strong/vocal online following, so I'm not sure if it's extra-hyped. I was also considering ADAM speakers that also use the ribbon tweeter (they're made in Germany vs. Emotiva that are mostly made in China).

Right now my eye is on the Genelec 6010B (newer version of the 6010A I think). I need something small for my new desk, and Genelec is very well respected in the studio recording community.
Swan D1080IV would be awesome
Can we please get something besides Audioengines :|

I agree. Let's show some other (better?) brands some love. ;)
Do you see these speakers coming back on sale in the near future?
Any update Steve?
It looks like we have a clear winner here. We'll be reaching out to Audioengine later this week to ask about the A5+ and will post updates once we have an answer.

I realize the answer may be "still talking," but are there any updates on this drop? Thanks!

Hey Charles. Good timing. Yes, we've confirmed pricing for the Audioengine A5+ and we'll be launching them within 48 hours. Be sure to spread the word so that we'll have enough people to make this group buy go through.
I already own the Swan D1080IV, they are great monitors for the price. I have treble and bass set to 12 o'clock raising the bass on these don't sound great IMO and better off doing it in software (e.g foobar2k) http://www.swanspeaker.com/
