Sennheiser HD-650s are Currently priced at just $398.88 INCLUDING shipping (as of July 22, 2014) on the website of the "biggest retailer on the internet" Their no-hassle/ANY REASON return policy and free 2-day shipping are strongly appealing, too. I think I gotta pull the trigger with them....
I currently use the Sennheiser HD-600s, LOVE them, but would absolutely upgrade to the HD-650s when I finish building my Bottlehead Crack OTL Headphone amp... I'm currently using a Little Dot Mk. III all-tube headphone amp with 1960s Soviet 6J1p tubes--which are surprisingly great--but am really looking forward to the Bottlehead.
