hmmm...yeah. I assume it's because good smartphone companies tend to have existing and very profitable ties with Internet Service Providers so they're already selling in bulk at huge trade discounts to said networks. Plus, with their robust distribution networks (save for the OnePlus One which is still a little bit too young to have a developed global logistics operation which means if it does get here...it'll be damnably expensive). There's obviously much less of an initiative to sell it to a site that will buy in bulk like the Internet Service providers (except these guys buy a helluvalot more), and risk the chance of not selling whereas selling to retailers or in their own retail stores would easily wash their hands of the products, and at a larger profit at that. My 2 cents on the situation
