Hi Everyone!
I wanted to give you a quick update. I have been working on getting your favorite S/S coats on Massdrop.
I just spoke to Pointer and they have agreed to showcase the Brown Duck Chore Coat on MD. :)
They are really excited to work with the group and will be on MD in the coming weeks.
Thank you so much for voting!
To everyone interested in a Barbour jacket. Sizing is not congruent between models. The most notable sizing difference is between their three "traditional" jackets (the Bedale - shortest, the Beaufort - mid-length and long enough to cover a blazer by about an inch, and the Border - mid thigh to knee depending on your height). I would recommend the Border if you're 6'5" or taller, and you want something to cover a blazer.
More here about those three jackets in particular. http://www.bestinthecountry.co.uk/barbour-buyers-guide
While these would be fitted into a "boxy" fit by today's standards, they are made that way for a purpose. Layering under any of the three is easy, and will not restrict movement. They also have raglan sleeves so up-sizing if you are between sizes, will definitely not look ridiculous unless you wear skin tight pants.
Between those three and some of the fitted jackets there is a HUGE size discrepancy. I've only tried one fitted jacket on from Barbour (I believe it was the national) and it was very very true to size. I mean putting on a 38, you had maybe 38 1/2 inches around your chest. One other major discrepancy is that some of Barbour's products are now made in eastern Europe, and no longer in the UK. I believe this is some of the international line, and any non-waxed-cotton garments. But don't hold me to that.
So remember, if you plan to wear the jacket year around, go with the "boxy" fit. (They also have zip in liners and hoods available in the three traditional style, not sure about the others)
Before you buy, find somewhere to TRY THE GARMENT ON, and bring a heavy sweater, and some layering options.
If you go Barbour, you won't choose wrong.
Can't go wrong with Barbour seriously.
Just want to point out that while the Rogue Territory Supply Jacket is awesome, they've previously stated that they have no intention in participating in any groupbuy-style sales.

That's really unfortunate. I had another poll with rogue territory duck canvas pants in it that I really liked, and was way out in the lead. Can we eliminate that option so those 60 or so people get on with picking something else they like?
Just going to make a quick argument for the Beaufort jacket from Barbour vs. The lightweight army jacket from Barbour.
The Beaufort fits over a blazer quite well, and thus can be worn year round if layered properly, where as the tailored and slimmer fit of the army jacket prevents it from being worn with anything heavier than a light sweater.
In addition, the army/sapper jacket comes in only navy sylkoil. However, the Beaufort comes in navy, black, brown, and sage for the traditional wax cotton, as well as olive in sylkoil.
If you're looking to get more use out of a jacket, the beaufort is the way to go.

Not to mention that the Beaufort has a lining which can be removed. So you have the option to make it a light spring jacket, but you can keep the lining in for those cold subzero winter months. I have a friend in Syracuse, NY who swears by this jacket.

Just some info, the lining is sold separately, as is the hood. So while it's not included, chances are you won't need it in the near future anyway, unless you live in Canada.
