I just thought I would chime in here about the sharpening supplies as a straight razor enthusiast... As for stones you generally need many different grits to hone a blade depending on it's condition. Some people use all the way from 320 to 12k such as: 320, 1000, 4000, 8000, 12000 (just an example set) which would be rather cost prohibitive. Furthermore, and I experienced this when I was new, getting a set with one stone made me think I could just sharpen it with a single stone... boy was I wrong. A strop however is an excellent choice for inclusion, as even someone who pays the relatively small price to get theirs professionally honed will need a strop. A set of nice Norton or Naniwa (just for example) stones might be a great idea for another separate group buy. ----- As for Boker vs. Dovo you'll be able to find plenty of enthusiasts that love Boker just as much if not more. I own one of each for example. Hope that helps a bit.
