For me It's the KEF LS50s . Anything even approaching the Brilliant Sound of the classic BBC Monitor ' LS3/5a gets my vote. And This supposes to Better That. It must be Perfection ??? ;)
How did Audioengines end up in a studio monitor poll? Y u no make sense?!
People learn what a studio monitor is. A monitor is a very specific speaker designed to have a flat response over a wide frequency range. If you don't understand the term of monitor don't add things here
The A5+ was already on Massdrop. Anyone who voted for it can retract their vote and request it again here: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/audioengine-a5plus
Also Adam A7X are some of the best sounding speakers on the planet.
What's with so many votes for the Audioengine A5+? Don't be silly!!!
You fools, vote for the Rokit 10s!!!
Hello could you please add the Focal Alpha 50 Monitor speaker? Azkalan http://www.focal.com/en/alpha/493-alpha-50-3544054710029.html
Also worth noting is the Audio engine speakers wont run at more than 70% for more than 30 mins or so before massive distortion. Audio engines response is why do you need to use them to the full capacity? Major design flaw.

"Audio engines response is why do you need to use them to the full capacity?" No doubt, but I have to ask the same thing. Is the input source you are using that poor and quiet? You blasting 'em that loud or what?

It was for a gathering, source was fine. They weren't up loud enough to distort and they weren't up full either, probably 80% on the dial. Distortion happened after time when the unit heated up.
Just to let people know, half of these things are not really studio monitors. Just speakers. Very different.
