As promised folks, the Audix SCX25A Condesner Mic is here and ready for purchase. We worked very hard to bring this microphone to the community. It is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. I cannot say enough great things about this mic; the sound quality, construction, design and pristine sound reproduction are all of the astonishing. I have added a couple of videos about the mic, so please feel free to learn more and post any questions.

Here is a flat, without processing, recording of a piano using the SCX25A:
Honestly, for years I recorded primarily with Cubase systems, most of the studios I worked with in my session days used it. However, over the years I have seen a steady and almost universal shift to Pro Tools. There just is a certain versatility that exists with Pro Tools and it is an industry standard. Almost every TV show, film or major label album you will see or hear, is recorded and mixed in Pro Tools. That being said, I still have an affinity for Cubase, and always will.
I find Ableton to be very specific to certain genres of music, I will not say what those are for the sake of being impartial. Yet, that does not in anyway diminish the awesome resources that Ableton possesses. It is a truly a dynamic program, which when utilized properly, is on par with Pro Tools or Cubase.
I own Pro Tools, Adobe Auditions, Ableton Live, And Pro Tools is the best - there is a reason it is most of major studios
Wow, it's 200+ votes here!
Traktor Pro 2 is a great tool but it's not a DAW)
I'd like to see Ableton Live 9 Standard or Suite on here.
I would love to see some Live 9 Suite and FL Studio Signature series on here. Great poll. I have heard good things about a few of the other DAWs as well.

Ableton Live 9 Suite is great, but make sure you have some plugins and samples. Unless you're Culprate, Operator and Analog won't be the best of choices for synths. If you can, go for something like FM8 and/or Serum, but if you want Massive, that's cool too (I don't use Massive that much though).
