I do not recommend the Petzl e+Lite for backpacking or trekking. It's unreliable and failed me on a 5-day trip in Yosemite NP. The light mode selector dial thing can get stuck from exposure to dust, dirt, or sand. I had to use a rock or stump and my body weight to pry the switch on or off.

ScrappyMalloyI agree. I Keep it in my emergency first aid kit. The battery is supposed to be long lasting. But take only as a backup when back packing. It's super light and tiny so its tempting, but I wouldn't rely on it
