Gotta be careful with the LifeStraw. I had one, used it once at home to see if it passed water. Blew back hard with my breath and put it in a draw. few months later went out hiking (without testing it prior) and the damn thing only passed about 5 drops of water over about an hour of trying.
So I mustn't have cleared the filter out well enough.
Many Hikers loved the size of the Sawyer mini but are going back to the original size due to the mini clogging too frequently after some use.
The Renovo trio is also worth looking at as it adds a carbon filter to the story. This filters out chemicals and metals in the water which for some areas is essential. None of the other filters offer this.
