We absolutely don't need these. Philips has a history of paying for 5 star reviews on Amazon for these particular headphones. There's probably a reason they have to pay to get them.
I'm curious as to where you heard this or read it?
I'd like to see for myself - mainly because from my own personal experience, Philips has really upped their quality. I can't see how they'd need to pay anyone if the X2s fall in line with what I've experienced and read.
I can say I've had the Fidelio L1s and they were incredible for the price - build quality way above average and the sound was warm and fun. I haven't tried the X1s or X2s but I can't imagine the L1 is a one-hit wonder here...
Given that these got such positive reviews from several sources, I'd really like to see them here.
