I couldn't care less for a headphone like the Parrot Zik that needs firmware updates.. I hear the UE 9000 is actually pretty great as both a bluetooth and wired headphone, though it's ANC isn't the best.

cripple1ANC isn't the best in any headphone. Period. PNC works much better ironically

cripple1Parrot Zik doesn't "need" firmware upgrades, they are just optional when they add new features.

kraftmanCorrect me if I'm wrong, I know better than anyone I'm not the most tech savvy guy, but if your Parrot Zik is buggy (like swiping the ear cup housing doesn't work properly when you want to change a song or raise or lower your volume), and you need to hook it up to download a better version of the firmware that makes these functions work properly, doesn't that mean you "need" firmware updates? I mean, granted, sure you can use it like any other regular bluetooth headphone and just use your device to change songs and raise/lower volume, but isn't the reason for the Parrot Ziks high price tag because you are paying for those extra features on the ear cup? I'd rather have something that works well, right out of the box, than have to download updates for firmware when things go wrong. It probably doesn't happen often, but it's still not something I'd prefer to deal with.
