Yamaha HS5 Self-powered monitor
Have you considered offering the Yamaha HS5 Self-powered monitor? I would buy that in a heartbeat. Nice clean neutral sound. JBL is too "bright" for me.

Let's see yalls rigs.
I think they're not bad; for the 300 dollar mark they're pretty good studio monitors that are useful when editing video. Musically they are very neutral and revealing as a good studio monitor should be. Nothing musical or anything too special. I would recommend looking into older speakers or specific speakers designed for musicality rather than precision. Considering those variables, I would recommend something like swans powered speakers or...

HiVi M200 MKIII and MKII Speaker System
I bought a pair of MKIIIs ~1.5 yrs ago. The 1st pair had issues (they had been re-packed and obviously used by someone), so I returned them and got a 2nd pair, which was perfect. At the time these speakers were a distinct upgrade in sound quality (not to mention appearance) over my 10 yr old NHT M-00's. I have used these w/a sub since day-1: first w/the NHT S-00 (8" ported), and about 6 months ago, with an SVS SB-1000 (12" sealed). So I...

Product Question
1. I got a pair of HD6XX from the first run - what type pads are on those?? 2. I just ordered another pair - what type pads will be on those? 3. What type pads come on the Sennheiser HD650 (which is the equivalent, right). 4. What does fenestrated mean? 5, What foam are the questions about whether the pads come with foam referring to? I want to know how to replace the thin foam that covers the speakers; that will also wear out too.

Headphones or 5.1 speakers for gaming?
Title says it all. I mainly play FPS ( Doom, ArmA 3) so are speakers worth it for the directional stuff? or do headphones do the job?

Massdrop x JBL LSR30X Powered Speakers
I just join the drop for the JBL LSR30X after Massdrop updated the warranty conditions and dropped the price. I've compared the LSR305 and the Yamaha HS5 on several occasions in the studio and I still prefer the sound of the LSR305 therefore the LSR30X with the extra volume matching and the beautiful glossy finish is definitely a treat for the asking price. No active monitor speakers can come close to the LSR305 at this price point. I hope...

Product Question
I'm considering upgrading my entire audio setup at my pc. I have a Scarlett 2i2 that I've used when performing. I was planning on having my mic go in and have it go out to some jbl/yamaha/any brand speakers. Would the 2i2 be enough for these headphones or should I get a separate amp/dac?

Edifier S1000DB Speakers
Many people say good things about the Yamaha HS models. And many w/the HS5 mention the need for a sub to get full bass coverage . Three factors are pushing me toward the Yamaha HS7's: 1 - They will just fit my desktop (depth-constrained) and IMO look very handsome. The 2nd matters less than the 1st, but since I'm paying $$, why not get looks, too? 2 - I've upgraded my electronics (DAC + mega-powerful HP amp/preams) to such an extent that...
