Build quality seems above average, and the sound quality is pretty decent at this size and price point. For my office, I'm very satisfied, and would recommend them as a great upgrade for cheap desktop speakers at a reasonable price.
I find the sound to be very mid-forward, with highs and lows a little muted.
This may be the best new speaker you can buy for $60.
Physically: The good - Packaged nicely, good accessories, lovely design. I would note that they are smaller than they appear in pictures. We got the red ones, would have preferred white or black but these still look nice. The bad - There was significant glue on the facia of the speaker. Need to research how to clean that off without damaging or discoloring it.
Set up - super easy
Sound: The definitely sound very nice for $60 speakers. Treble is nice, never harsh but definitely lacking sparkle or airiness.
Mids : Good midrange, I would say this is their strong point. They go into the lower midrange well due to the nifty bass system they designed for these. I would say that this lower midrange is a bit muddy but it doesn't drop off either.
Bass: Again the bass system they have on these does a decent job considering the size. The bass isn't real detailed, what is it making that low note?? But it does provide the system with a little heft.
Sound Stage : It does ok with L/R channel separation as expected but not a great soundstage. If my Sonus faber Elipsa Auditor is a 10 in that space, these are a 3.
Timbre/Speed: It's a $60 speaker, fine for casual listening
Operation: It seems to have a weak bluetooth receiver as it drops sometimes when something is between the speaker and the source even when only separated by 10ft or so.
Overall compared to the admittedly few speakers I have heard around this price range ($40-$80) I would give it an A- . Take off a couple points for glue and bluetooth drop outs.
Not only do they sound great they look beyond fantastic. They put my drop BMR1 speakers to shame really, nice touch is the remote which is game changer.
Nice looking and sound great. The only thing that made it a little annoying was that the front of the speakers had a weird sticky layer to them. Easy to clean off but was not fun.
The pictures and the specs for this drop are for the E25HD with the optical input. This one only had the analog input. How disappointed I was to receive it and to find out its only the analog input.
We were very surprised at how great these were. The bass is nice and the sound quality was very good. Granted we are the crazy audiophiles that are super critical of speakers and sound, but objectively they sound very nice. My husband is using them as his desk speakers, and while he's had desk speakers in the past he never really used them. With these he uses them all the time and I think it's because of how nice they sound. Was sad we didn't get the stands like we were supposed to, but still over all very happy with the product. We got the red set and they look really beautiful as well.
Can't complain about sound quality for the price. They work really well when plugged in (not bluetooth). They arrived well packed and in good condition, unlike for some of the other buyers here.
The stands were not included even though it said so in the description. Will be following up with DROP for this.
Update: was refunded for the stand. no option to turn bluetooth off and neighbour is able to connect even though i'm plugged in.
Something happened with the glue and/or the spray-on rubber on the front of the speakers which made a sticky mess when I tried to clean the speakers. Pulling them out of the bags was my first sign that something was wrong, since pulling them out I had to peel the cloth bag off of the rubber, then remove the hairs left behind. And when I tried using a damp cloth, the gunk just smeared all around the front of the speaker. They sound great, I love the bass and how spacey they look, but what the heck? Whether it's a problem with Drop or Edifier I am not the first person with this problem. Additionally, I never received the stands with my purchase, which according to Drop's description, says that they are included. Everything else I have ordered from Drop in the past has been in perfect shape, and I got what I expected, but something this big is a major red flag, and hopefully there is a way for me to remove the face plate and strip the rubber from the plastic underneath, otherwise I would expect a refund, which I doubt Drop will offer... The only reason I'd recommend this is because I trust the speaker is good, but I would advise my friend to buy it elsewhere, even if at a higher price.
Edit: I was able to remove the glue from the surface, and they look and are working perfectly now. If there hadn't been a defect I would rate 4/5 stars, love the bass but too much mid for my liking. Still no stand though, if anyone has luck getting them for free from Drop please let me know.

Glue all over the edge of the front of the speakers, when I tried to wipe the glue off gently the whole rubber finish on the front of the speaker began to rub off right away. They looked like trash out of the box with all the glue on the edges. If you even touch the soft rubber layer on the front of the speaker it smudges permanently and rubs off like wet paint. Waited over a month for speaker that are such garbage they didn't even make to being plugged in. Waste of time and money, now I get to waste more time and money returning them. Super fun. This will be the last time I order anything from this website, this is the 2nd time I've ordered from here and received total garbage in the mail after waiting an unreasonable amount of time. Bye Drop.
RyanTCSorry to see that this happened. Please contact our support team so they can help to issue refund or arrange a replacement pair.
I'd also like to clarify the inventory flow as your message seem to indicate that we are shipping b-stock items or similar. The way it works is that we purchase from a vendor, in this case directly from Edifier, and then after receiving inventory from them we immediately ship to our customers. Inventory does not sit in our warehouse, nor it's opened or resold as "b-stock". Frankly, if there are quality issues such as this those are most likely production defects (as we do not buy b-stock unless it's clearly stated in the product title). We stand by our customers and will make it right if something like this happens.
Jyri_DropI simply do not have the time spend returning had products. I take this as a loss and a learning experience. Every single product I have ordered from drop has fallen apart in a few months of daily use, arrived in poor condition, or had cheap feeling build quality when finally seen in person aside from the KOSS KPH30i headphones. And every items takes months to arrive. I am still waiting for ADV Spider TWS On-Ear headphones I purchased in MARCH, by the time I get any products I've forgotten I even ordered them and then they show up as another thing that goes into the box of useless things in my closet I purchased on a whim. If thats not some "b-stock" energy I don't know what is. No I will not be wasting my time/money returning your mistake to you while you act like you're doing me a solid. I've uploaded the pictures of the products condition, as far as I am concerned the ball is your court if you really "stand by costumers and will make it right if something like this happens" and no I do not want another pair of speakers I already found out are garbage, but thanks haha. I already got all the emails telling me to send it back to you like I am your logistics department secretary and I'm not interested in the job.
