Just want to point out that when you're plugging the cable in the headset, you need to give it a really strong push. When you first insert it, it may feel like it's in, but that's just the first (of 3) contacts that have made contact and engaged. Give it a really strong push, you won't break it! We've received multiple returned "faulty, dead on arrival" units and upon testing them, they all work fine once the cable is properly seated. There are numerous reviews/discussion posts below of people complaining about "very quiet audio, left channel doesn't work at all", etc. These are almost always solved with firmly inserting the cable. Regardless, if you're not happy with the product or believe yours is defective, please contact customer support and they'll gladly refund or exchange it for you.
I don’t think the boom mic is repairable without sending it in to EPOS, but you probably can order replacement cables from EPOS or buy it from their customer support department. The cables are interchangeable between the PC37X, PC38X, GAME ONE, G4ME ZERO, and I think the GSP series as well.

KevinI plugged cable for GSP500 on the first use and I have no issue. Strangely, I can also plug cable for HD599 in as well (no mic)

The DROP + Sennheiser PC38X Gaming Headset will soon be replaced by the Drop + EPOS PC38X Gaming Headset

What's with the new name?
EPOS merged with Sennheiser's Gaming division a while back and has been slowly transitioning the brand to be purely EPOS. We're currently selling the remaining "Sennheiser branded PC38X" units, and will be introducing the "EPOS branded" ones to the site shortly. Is there any difference between the products? The EPOS PC38X and Sennheiser PC38X units have been, and will continue to be, made at the exact same production facility. The specification of the headphone is the same, except the branding will be different. How long will the "OG" Sennheiser PC38X units be available for? These are no longer being produced, and will be available until we've sold the remaining inventory. For a brief time, you will be able to purchase either the Sennheiser or EPOS branded version of the headset. How are warranties handled? The warranty remains unchanged. If your product is defective within the warranty period, we will replace it.

KevinI have GSP500 and it's Sennheiser branded (big S instead of big E) I think branding doesn't matter between "S" and "E"

I have used these for years now and I love them. I have tried so many headsets but I'm always coming back to these, even with the audeze maxwell right next to me. The mic sounds great, the finish on the cups is perfect, and I love being able to hear around me between games. https://www.amazon.com/DROP-EPOS-PC38X-Noise-Cancelling-Yellow/dp/B0BFZP7VS8

Just ordered these and I'm super excited to try them out. Just a quick question, why are these $277 on Amazon but only $130 on here? so weird lol

My previous headset was a Razer Kraken 7.1 v2, sound is definitely better and I'm liking the feeling of a open back. But if the microphone is bad then I can't really use it for games since I mostly play with friends. Just wondering if the configurations the microphone on my headset is wrong because from the mic tests on YouTube I've heard it sounds better than mine.

I've tried turning off AI noise reduction which made it sound better, but I think it's picking up noises from my headset since it's open back. Any suggestions?

I've owned this headset for a little over 3 yrs and the PC cord has now given out on me after it being being in the same position for a while and only the right headphone is giving audio and cant find the cord for repurchase anywhere on the site. If somehow I am overlooking it or if someone knows any third party sites that sell it please link it. It would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, been using my 38x since 2021 and loving them. Unfortunately the audio in the left earcup has quit working. I've tried both the included console and PC cables with it and the same thing occurs, so doesn't seem cable-related. Anyone else encountered this after some time with the headset and found a possible solution?

Should I replace HD599 and GSP500 with PC38X? After few days of listening, I really like PC38X (and HD58X) I'd prefer sound profile of PC38X because it has no attitude and it's all around (phone call, TV, YouTube, all type of music) while HD58X is more real instrument oriented. Interestingly, HD58X has a penny more sensitivity than PC38X, both are good to be used with smartphone with HD audio support through headphones jack. Moreover, HD599 earpads and GSP500 cable are compatible (brown earpads looks more matching with yellow PC38X)

Been using these for 2.5 years with a gsx and no problems. However, yesterday, when I was raising the mic, it came apart at the joint closest to the swivel. Looks like the cylinder that the mic cable goes through broke about 5mm down inside on the headset end. I can probably tape it well enough with a bit of structural support, but if there are replacement parts active knows about, that would be nice :). Thanks!

hmarcbowerExact same problem here, mic just randomly came apart, no rough use or anything. As far as I can tell there are no replacement parts, this seems like either a design flaw and/or build quality issue.
