I was looking for some additional lighting for my desk, and have been toying with the idea of LEDS. I decided to purchase this instead. VERY high quality, this is perfect. Great quality, the lighting is perfect and has several capabilities between warm and cool lighting. I love it!!
Great for what it is but beware for 32:9. This will not fit if they have an 1800 Curve
The dial is great and feels really nice to turn the brightness up or down. However, for the price it should have included a rechargeable battery and a better adjustable base for the light.
I think I have a fairly standard profile monitor and it fits fine. Angle of the light is also good. The desktop controller is a bit gimmick but does feel nice. When I turn it on, it always blinks once but then runs fine after that.
First and foremost; the LED is good. No headache and minimal glare; any glare is dependent on your monitors' bezel size/style.
Main gripe is the cheap mount base which doesn't fit well on a thick/curved bezel; limiting placement options and introduces glare. USBC port is a bit rough and the cable a bit on the short side. Plugging it into to 'wrong' port introduces flicker (the port on my mointors built in usb hub caused it to flicker, almost strobing. ) If you shake unit enough it flickers.
So at the end of the day the 'sleek' design is mostly there for packaging. Once you put it together that experience is over through the unintuitive and unresponsive controls on the remote control. The battery cover is flimsy and the unit can slide around if enough force in the wrong direction is applied. Rotating the nob is uneventful and provides no tactile feedback. All displays on the remote have a lag time before denoting changes.
For the asking price; not worth it. Nope. Its an 80 lamp that feels like a 40 or 50$ unit.
