We at Massdrop have a special relationship with Sennheiser. They’re a company who believes in delivering the highest quality products to the Audiophile Community, and we’re always listening to the needs and ideas of our members so in this it's a perfect match.
Since our first collaboration with Axel Grell and the Sennheiser team, we’ve been able to come up with more ways to bring more products to the community. Starting with the HD 6XX, a Massdrop Made take on the company’s flagship headphones. The PC37X, a headset produced for competitive gaming. And now, the 58X Jubilee. Headphones tuned by Axel, and designed with feedback from the community.
Currently, Sennheiser has a team specifically dedicated to our collaborations, and this proves their commitment to always listening and to continue bringing the very best of what they can do to those who are most passionate about it.
gTechieI have 2 units of the original Px100 ( 1st production units ), white for my wife and black is mine . Been using them since 2006. It is my daily driver even though I have Meze99 classics and Hd58x. They sound so good and natural. I actually did AB testing with Sennheiser HD800s. Of course Hd800s is better but i would not go far to say that these little one is like 90 - 95 % of the HD800s.
How about a Drop PX100 reboot? Sometimes you just want comfy light headphones with "good enough" sound. For all day listening from a LG phone with a proper DAC or a Sony player or whatever... That's a niche market that is aching for someone to fill.
I will probably and eventually buy (read it as hoard) anything that has "Drop x Sennheiser" in its product name. If I have to choose one for the future release, however, it would be Drop x Sennheiser HD 8XX. One of my dream headphones' HD 800, so I would love to see it revamped into HD 8XX with a bit more style for a bit less teardrops on my bank statement.
Please revive the HD-414s. I loved mine in the 70s. They weren't "bassey", especially by today's rap / hip-hop standards, but their clear, natural theater was so impressive!
If you want my attention create a collab with Sennheiser based on their soundstage headphones the 700 series or 800 series.
I tried the HD 600 series and they just didn't cut it for me on gaming the lack of sound stage killed it. I tried the HD 700 and fell in love with the sound stage and sound separation. They require a good DAC/AMP but if you have those the gaming experience is incredible.
The 800 S would be even better but their price point is even further out. So either a HD 700 with a eased treble footprint or a altered 800 like the 800 S would be amazing.
Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
I have an external amplifier with no integrated DAC and I only have an xduo xa10 as a dac/amp can I use the xduo xa10 as a dac only with an external amplifier?
So I bought the HD6xx a few weeks back and when I finally got the packages i got some Noir 99. ever happened to any of u guys and how did it get resolved
