It just arrived, not enough tested on my headphone collection, but the most important thing for me is the fully customizable parametric equaliser, via smartphone application, free to download on Google Play. This lets me have the same sound as the desktop, where I use Math Audio plugin for Foobar2000.
By now I am very delighted and listening on Hifiman Edition XS, happy to be able to move the same sound I have at home anywhere I go. I use the headphones connected to the ballanced output and the power is awesome, without noticeable distortion. At least for Hifiman Edition XS this little thing cand provide more than enough power...I will try it with 300 ohms HD650 and will come back with impressions.
Cute little amp/dac, the app is actually pretty great, with community EQ presets for pretty much every headphone imaginable. Powerful enough and battery life seems ok so far
I tested this out on my PC38x and my Samsung S10 Plus and the app provides a ton of detail.
The app separates phone volume and the Unit and it pushes headset much higher than the phone amp and the sound is noticeably clearer as well. Price is better than Amazon so I'd say to grab one or two from Drop if you're willing to wait for shipping.
This thing is surprisingly tiny!

Only downside so far is that the physical buttons aren't responsive. Sometimes it gets my command to up the volume and sometimes it doesn't.
KurosuI didn't have your issue with the buttons. I suggest you test your unit with another phone, in case the issue persists with the other phone, you might want to consider using your warranty. Also try and update firmware. best wishes, Ilay S.
KurosuThe buttons have a top and bottom to them. So each button is actually two buttons. Maybe that is part of your issue?
This is my first audiophile product as well and I agree there are a ton of features and settings I don’t understand. But you don’t have to use every feature and it would be wasteful to make/buy a plastic product with purposefully limited functionality for a smaller portion of the market.
The Qudelix-5K Bluetooth USB DAC/Amp is a game-changer for audiophiles and anyone looking to enhance their audio experience. This compact device delivers exceptional sound quality, bringing out the finest details in your music, movies, and games. The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, offering wireless freedom without compromising on audio quality.
One of its key strengths is its versatility; it's compatible with a wide range of headphones and devices, and the user-friendly companion app allows for extensive customization, tailoring the sound to your preferences. The sleek and durable design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional with intuitive controls.
In a nutshell, the Qudelix-5K is a powerhouse in a small package. It takes your audio to the next level with outstanding sound quality, easy connectivity, and customization options. Whether you're a music enthusiast or simply looking to elevate your audio experience, this DAC/Amp is a fantastic choice that won't disappoint.
This little guy has some juice behind it. It has no problem running anything I have to put in front if it. The built in clip is baller as heck and the Bluetooth is magical. I often times have it plugged into the computer playing music through USB but it's still blutoothed to my phone. I unplug it and it's like magic how it just keeps playing from my phone.
3 stars because of the buttons. The buttons are so freaking sensitive I swear I could get them to click if I blow hard enough. The controls themselves definitely have a learning curve and aren't intuitive in the slightest at least to me. If it weren't for the buttons and controls, this would be a perfect little amp for everything use
This little dac is awesome. I use it with my DT 900 Pro X’s to make them untethered to my phone via wire. The sound quality is amazing, even over BT. The App is great too, it has thousands of presets and sorts them by headset model.
For the price you can't beat it, it powers 6XX headphones perfectly fine and its extremely portable compared to other more expensive DAC/AMPs. It has quite a lot of community EQ presets as well for a range of different headphones, I love this thing.
Everyone knows for a $100 this is the best thing you can buy in audio. The service and support on the forums is great. The features are frankly mind blowing. They are constantly updating and fixing things on this 3 or 4 year old product. I don't wish the desktop version hadn't gone into weird surround sound stuff and had just been this bigger with more power and a volume knob. Range is crazy good. I can leave my phone in my gym bag and walk all over the place training and never give it a thought.
Nice little thing to take around especially for commutes on crowded public transportation. I wanted a DAC to use with wired earphones/headphones on my very crowded subway commutes to work and I am very pleased. It's also quite small so very portable and sounds great.
Boosted my favorite IEM with a custom PEQ of 13 filters, a feat unmatched by any other portable DACs despite this robust little device. Other functions like XFeed and digital filters are also fun to play with. The App is well developed and easy to use. Strongly recommended.
