I want to pick this up to add to my headset for gaming communication. I notice that I can choose standard or omni-directional mic. I'm thinking I would want the standard because I have a semi-loud kb with cherry mx-brown switches. But I'm not sure which is the better mic, or which is the better choice for sound quality overall. Thoughts?

emacspirate"Better" is relative to the user's needs. I would suggest a Uni with any style mechanical KB if you plan on typing with an open mic. I bought the standard version based on that alone (well that and the abundance of extra environmental noises in my household).
