I know it says it won't remove any residue when removed.... what about disturbing the finish on the wood of my Massdrop x Fostex headset?
At my work we remove adhesive vinyl from a lot of surfaces and they behave just fine... if we remove it from finished wooden counters it takes the finish with it. Very nervous about attempting to use this. I'm thinking mounting to the aluminum flat above the pivot could work, but I'm not sure if the mic is long enough. Massdrop--can you offer any recommendations?
twopntohHey @twopntoh - I'd err on the side of not placing it on finished wood. I don't think it would cause damage, but I'm not going to risk saying it absolutely won't. The max length of the boom is 175mm, so if you can reach the corner of your mouth from the flat above the pivot in 175mm then you're golden. You may want to get the Omni version, which will pick up sound easier, if you're mounting from a slightly unusual angle like that. A lot of people attach it to pretty weird locations and it seems to work ok :)
