Yes, I have these games (purchased in the same general price range some time ago) and they are great, particularly when you join them together and play them as a global mega-game. However, as noted above, the real trick is finding enough time and friends to play the game. IF you can do that, this game can be a lot of fun.

NarukamiI've been hunting for these in Australia for ages. Very hard to find. Would be superb if MD put on a deal for both of them with international shipping

NarukamiI got really lucky with some college roommates... contemplating picking these up again, but I'd have just this problem. Same with Twilight Imperium.

mpbryan90Yes, I like the look of Twilight Imperium, but time is the big impediment.
During AOC at Ft. Knox the games of choice, in the evenings after duty hours, were SPI's Firefight and Avalon Hill's King Maker as we could usually finish a game in an evening. That is one of the reasons I like the GMT Commands & Colors Ancients series. Each battle takes about an hour so we can fight two or three in an afternoon. That said...
Axis & Allies and Twilight Imperium are so tempting...

NarukamiI have always wanted to try Axis & Allies but I don't think I could even convince someone from my boardgame group to sit down for an 8 hour game.

IncyThat is probably the biggest challenge of the game -- finding the time and the opponents for a full game. Fortunately, I do have a grandson so I was able to dragoon his friends into a game or two, but even then we did not play to the absolute bitter end of total victory or defeat. Someday...

NarukamiReminds me a lot of Diplomacy. Played it once and found it fascinating but the main game objective seems to be finding the people & time to play.
