I'm wondering whether to go for it or not, all reviews and comments seem positive, but date windows are usually so important to my life I wonder about life without one

OscoteI prefer the simplicity and symmetry of not having a date complication. On Bertucci watches, you lose the "4" when you get the date complication. It looks weird to me.
As far as the watch goes, these are good everyday watches. The only real issue is that the nylon band isn't very comfortable. Sure, it's nearly indestructible and looks great. It just doesn't feel good. I replaced mine with one of their canvas bands and it did a world of good. Now it's the most comfortable watch I've ever worn! Since this drop ended, Bertucci has a couple of new DX3 models that come with a canvas band. It's worth checking out.
