Fair & Detailed Review
First, for comparison purposes, I have owned or currently own: Sennheiser HD6XX AKG K7XX Hifiman Sundara 1More Triple Driver Over Ear In addition I own about a dozen IEMs. B20 is an exceptional headphone and I prefer it over all the over ear - open back headphones I have tried. Sound
  • +Very detailed as you would expect from a planar.
  • +Treble is very clear and crisp without being harsh on the ears for extended periods of time
  • Midrange is good, not great, but definitely good.
  • Bass is a preference. It's good but if you are a basshead, this may not be yours without EQ'ing it. It is much better than the Sundara who I would call a direct competitor as they are both planars.
  • Imaging is good, but not great. The BLON B03 iem has better imaging, but in over ears, these are very acceptable.
  • Soundstage -- Not huge, not tiny. I enjoy it. Not as open as the K7XX, but not as closed as HD6XX. Good balance in my opinion.
Build & Comfort
  • -Slightly Heavy BUT you don't notice it even in long sessions...
  • +VERY well built. It feels like it will last a long time which you want at this price point
  • ++++the ear cups swivel on all different axis which allows for the PERFECT fit for your head shape. Why every headphone doesn't do this I have no idea.
  • ++ the pads are phenomenal. I love them. Insanely comfortable. I would buy them for every headphone I own if they had them.
Overall These could easily be an "end game" headphone for many people. There are not highly noticeable improvements until you double the price which is crazy. The driver is the same as the Sendy Aiva and new Monolith. It's a very capable driver and if you EQ it, you can really get the bass where you want it without any loss of clarity.

Snake_Doc17How would you say these compare to the sundaras??

PoppenfreshVery good question. Honestly, I like the Sundara a lot but here's my comparison: 1.) Sound -- Very similar detail retrieval, both planar drivers are very good in terms of clarity and treble response. The big difference in sound is that the Blon has MUCH better bass. If you like a bit less bass to make things sound crisp then you'd probably love Sundara. If you enjoy your bass, Blon has what I would call an appropriate amount of bass. It's not like a closed back Emu or something like that. I'd call Sundara Less bass, Blon good bass and something like Emu or LCDX excellent bass. 2.) Comfort -- This is massive difference. Sundara just isn't as well built. Blon earcups swivel which makes a MASSIVE comfort difference. The pads on Sundara are just ok, but the pads on Blon...favorite pads ever... Different suspensions, but I don't mind either to be honest so nothing major there. Overall, you'll like either one, but I'm selling my Sundara and keeping BLON20s. Hope helps!

Snake_Doc17Thanks so much for taking the time to write this, it helps heaps! I’m thinking I’ll pull the trigger on the Blons, they seem like the way to go for me based off your comparison!

Snake_Doc17Do their treble sound the same? Or is something worse or better? I like the little emphasis on bass, but Sandara’s high frequencies also don’t want to part.

PerleSperlingI'm really sorry, I never saw this before 🤦‍♂️. I would call treble the same level on both. Neither is better than the other... And I say that liking both.

Snake_Doc17Nothing wrong. I decided to fork out in the days of sales and buy HM Ananda. It seems lucky with the quality and arrived not defective. This pair is easy to manage and quite musical. But, unfortunately, to the detriment of the treble. In them, I feel weakened, compared to the Senheiser hd 700. In general, 700 is slightly colder and slightly brighter, and in terms of detail it is even inferior somewhere. But if you pair both pairs with the most neutral source, then the strip will be traced exactly in the size of the scene.
