I like the material. The numerals look kind of plain next to it. I wonder if it would be difficult to dremel out the numbers and inlay with something else...

aeolianbrassProbably. How does stone react to dremels? I'd be afraid of it chipping, especially when these things are so small.

gigaflopMy understanding is that natural turquoise is a fairly hard stone, and this synthetic stone is probably similar. Working slowly would help avoid chipping, and maybe water. Mostly though I would be cleaning out whatever material they "inked" the numbers with, which I'm assuming(maybe wrongly) is softer.

gigaflopIf you were going to take to it with a dremel then you should consider just putting roman numerals on it. Would be a lot easier.
