I've got the 1L model and I absolutely love it. It heats a liter in the amount of time it takes me to hand grind some beans. I use bottled water to cut down on residue and it still looks brand new. There is some plastic inside, but it's well above the fill line. The temp probe looks like steel and a silicone washer.

AustinBannisterDamn...that is quick. Thanks. My gas stove takes about as long as your electric when I heat my water in my Hario kettle.
