I hope I can say this without seeming pedantic: the first sentence of the description is completely wrong. 1. tea gets cool quicker in cast iron compared to most ceramic 2. the bit about heat distribution is meaningless... maybe from a frying pan ad copy? I have several cast iron tea pots that I use and love, and the description here is so wrong and misleading that I felt almost insulted on behalf of the product.

TigermanYup, I have several cast iron and ceramic as well. Other than being sturdy and looking cool, ceramic lined cast iron pots do get cooler faster, unless you have a candle underneath it to regulate temp a bit.

TigermanYou can always pre-heat it before steeping with fresh hot water. In general I agree though, I'd rather a clay pot, or a double walled glass/stainless container with a strainer.
