Ed, I hope this helps.. The shoe in question is a Buday split toe Norwegian welted chukka. I cannot attach a pic here, and will try to email it to you. BTW. Fred Unn says he had to size up 1/2 size on the winter last, while RogerP says this chukka had to go down 1/2 size. I don't know if they are really talking about the same boot, as Roger doesn't remember it's name or the last. Hopefully you can identify Roger's from the pic and description. As I said he and I fit the same, and he has the NST chukka in an 81/2.

MomsdocI think you are talking about the Dinkelaker rubber soled boot. That's a different animal, runs 1-1.5 sizes big. I am going to suggest the 9UK for you and 7.5UK for your son.
