tarps can be expensive. this is the size and cost of one of the tarps I have were you to buy it today. its nearly half the weight and more than twice the cost.
you just have to ask youself what you want the tarp for how you will be using it. its not bad price for this tarp. I personally was willing to pay to have tarp that weighs way less than one like this.
noah tarp? I hactually have the 12 footer, its a great tarp I use it in back yard, its big and heavy not a backpacking tarp. there are however smaller sizes which will obviously weigh less than the 12 footer does. plus they have a lot more tie out points it can be used in several configs.
making your own if you have the know how and are so inclined is gonna save you a lot. any DIY does . you think that pair of jeans your wearing actually have 65 dollars of denim in them? hehe
