NavanodFYI Polarized glasses will primarily block uv from reflected surfaces (i.e. water when boating/fishing). Otherwise it probably isn't necessary.

Izzy34That's true. It's useful to me because it helps quite abit with my astigmatism, esp when driving. The relieve from the glare reflecting off other vehicles and windows helps.
And sometimes, it lets me see through the windscreen of the car infront

NavanodGood point; the glare off of metal surfaces does make polarized glasses better for driving.

Izzy34You couldn't be more wrong. Unless you are driving in a rural area there are plenty of shiny reflective surfaces (ie other cars, their windows, buildings) that we encounter hourly till the sun goes down.

Izzy34Your original point is written as though you wouldn't need polarized lenses when the opposite is true. Try some polarized sunglasses and you'll never go back.
