As a user of a couple pairs of Cobbler Union shoes, I also highly recommend their products. I own the ALEX longwings and the LOUIS boots, made of a superb dark brown country calf grain leather and a split-toe with stitched apron, built on the same last as the WINCHESTER.
The LOUIS are a very confortable pair of boots, that needed almost no breaking time. They are surprisingly light thanks to their flexible Vibram sole, the same used with the WINCHESTER. I used the same size of most of my dress shoes and the fit was perfect.
Now I am looking forward the GEORGE boots as their grained country calf and color suits better my needs and I will wait until that model is promoted.
These are my LOUIS boots, that can be dressed up or down very easily:

MercurioShould I size down half a size? It seems like these are roomy boots. I comfortably wear size 8US/41EU.

MajedchMy recommendation is to buy your usual dress shoes size , I woudn't size down as their fit is true to size, not really roomy.
I normally use 7.5 US/6.5 UK/40 EU but as you, I thought it would be a good idea to size down: that was a mistake, I had to return and change my boots for my usual size. If you are comfortable with 8 US/7 UK/41 EU, that is what you have to buy.

MercurioThanks!! My feet are not wide but I have a high instep. Should not matter in these boots though so I'll stick to 8US/7UK.
