I'm trying to get a few games that are "bar-friendly" defined as: not too drawn out, not too complicated, dynamic with sufficient depth, easily accessible, few components, etc).
Would this game fit the bill?

OvertoneSeriesAbsolutely. If you plan to be playing it at a bar, I'm not entirely sure which company makes them but there are card sleeves out there that fit these cards (NOT MTG SIZE).
The game is significantly less fun if cards get worn, since it becomes possible to tell which card your friends have based on the wear.
I play this game and love letter alternating days at lunch with my work friends, and they are both quick and enjoyable games.
