I am no audiophile by no means I bought the Zx version just to drive my headphones. The onboard audio that came on my ASUS board gave a hiss sound (interference?) plus the sound level was just was not what I expected. I bought the Zx version due to the fact I didn't plan to hook up to components or speakers. I'm loving it and glad I made this investment.
