Just got mine and I've noticed it's really hard to open with just one finger/hand. I loosened the joint a little but that solved nothing; it's the start of the opening that's hard to get, the rest of it is pretty smooth. Feels like it's locked by a magnet or a spring or something.
Anyone have any tips for making it easier to open? I want that quick draw swish effect that I have with my other assisted opening knives, not to look silly using both my hands to open it.

RonnocThe resistance to open is the detent in the framelock to a notch in the blade. It would be a safety hazard to remove this as it's what keeps the blade in the closed position. As for how to better open the blade with the flipper, you want to apply sturdy pressure with your index finger both back and in to the body while snapping your wrist. Remember that this is not an assisted knife like the leek. Once you have the blade moving the IKBS movement is near friction-less so will snap in to place.
