waltburkDante Alighieri is a beautiful red from De Atramentis. I think it is the best red I’ve found that dries without leaning too brown or orange. I have tried a multiple shades of reds of different brands. Including some that get high ratings.. including Diamine Red Dragon and Noodler’s Black Widow... While they are good inks, they tend to dry a little brown-ish. Even the Diamine Burgundy Royale dries kind of brown...
VioletHi Violet - I have tried a number of the De Atramentis inks. Including several of the scented inks. I love how the inks behave - I haven’t had problems with any that I have tried.
Scented inks - Violet- Lilac-Red Roses-Blackberry-Frankincense (light gray ) - Plum (dark teal)
Non-Scented - Black-Dante Alighieri-Gold (light)- Atlantic Blue (dark)
Photo of the ones I currently have, the others are used up. The Plum is a dark teal and Atlantic of course a dark blue. Gold and Frankincense are light/less saturated. I like the Frankincense as it is, but found the Gold too light for my use.
However, I find that both are nice to use to mix with other De Atramentis inks. It makes some very lovely shades. The gold in the image is a mix to go in my Delhi Yellow Super5 and Gold demonstrator pens. I have purchased have and will purchase them again. Hope tht helps.
