Acceptable, but disappointing - a custom keyboard veteran's point of view
First, I am not new to this hobby (u/RojoGrande79). I have about twenty boards at home, with five retail boards and the rest are custom built. I have experienced boards built super-cheap on AliExpress, and I also have a couple of Alts and a Canoe. So that brings me to the second point, which is that I know what a custom built keyboard should feel like, quality-wise. This does not meet that bar - although at $85 perhaps I was expecting a little much. Let's start with what I like about it. The case looks great, having the black divider between the top and bottom acrylic is wonderful. It allows a really spectacular lighting that I have yet to see on any other board. The acrylic pieces are cut beautifully, very smooth with great corners. There are a great deal of lighting effects for the keys and the top of the board, although there don't seem to be too many for the underglow LEDs. I do like that the board is hot-swappable, since the stabilizers rattle like an old Yugo and will need to be lubed. Now the things I don't much care for. The board was listed as being able to record macros, yet the instructions don't show this so either there are instructions that are not provided with the board or we were told of features that don't exist. The layers of acrylic, as others have experienced, are loose and not squeezed together, allowing slop and movement between the plates and plenty of gaps. While the case looks pretty, it does not feel like a solid product. The slop really cheapens the expectations. There seems to be no sort of on-board memory either as you will have to set any non-stock light effects back up once the keyboard is unplugged. All in all it will be a nice little keyboard to play with, but without the ability to record macros it becomes less desirable for how I wanted to use it. I would have gladly paid a couple more dollars for a higher quality PCB or a better built case. Drop has asked one more question which could go either way - would I recommend this product to a friend? The answer is yes AND no. I would recommend it to someone who isn't huge into custom keyboards, as it is much cooler than any sort of stock membrane keyboard. I don't, however, think I'd recommend it to anyone who is big into the hobby as they would likely have similar opinions on the build quality and overall programmability of the PCB.

ImBlazkowiczI believe it's a hit or miss kind of thing. I bought 3 kits, one had the whole F-row out of the box, but the other 2 didn't. Also the software won't be helpful since you can't add layers there
