Hey everyone, sorry for the delay, it's been pretty crazy over here lately so I haven't had a chance to get all the ducks lined up for the much awaited Bounty Box v2.  Gonna dump a bunch of info here for people because it feels like a lot of people are invested in the process and I love getting into the weeds.... The "official" Bounty Box v2 is going to be delayed until sometime mid (hopefully) September.  Contrary to what people suggest, we don't just "dump inventory" in the bounty boxes.  We actually call vendors and carefully curate/source about 50 different products and get them to hold inventory for us while we sell the bounty box.  This is a very time-consuming process and isn't happening as quickly as I want it to- but that's life.  Secondly, I will stress, 'curating' these products takes an excruciating long time.  Try to think of a $25 "tech gadget" that people will be "happy with", that they don't already have..... Now think of 4 of them so there's variety in the category. A big goal of the bounty box was to differentiate it from other subscription boxes where everyone essentially gets the same thing  So we need to find really "cool stuff", at different price ranges, that will appeal to an extremely wide population.  Reading through the reviews, you can see the truth behind the adage "one persons trash is another persons treasure".  There have been cool things like novelty Keycaps, where I have to say "no", because "what if they don't have a Mech Keyboard with Cherry Stems", etc. Second thing I want to address is "I want a box with just Tech/etc stuff".  This is equally difficult because of product diversity.  You could easily and randomly, end up with a box of 4 knives, or 4 IEM's, or something.  This hardly seems ideal...  The idea of blocking/banning a category is intriguing and it's the front-runner of a new innovation for Box 2 (no promises). I'll take a second to be self-congratulatory and say, on the whole, I think Box v1 went very well and overall people were quite happy with it.  In many cases where people weren't happy, it looks like a situation where they misunderstood or were misinformed about what they would get.  Aligning people's expectations with reality is something we'll strive to do better of next time around.  I still have a big list of improvements that I'm working through (yes, the SK friction folders will be banished forever) Okay, so long story short, we're working on V2 but haven't gotten there yet- hopefully soon. Here's the fun/good news moving forward. There seems to be a considerable amount of appetite for single category themed boxes, and I want to test that out.  So we're about to launch "Bounty Box: Audio Edition".  This is going to be a bounty box where there will be 3 categories of products (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3).  You will have the option to pick which item of each tier will go in your box, or you can pick a "Surprise me" option and we'll randomly throw something in from the tier.  This means you can have complete control over the contents of your box, or you can let the random-number generator decide.  Since it's a big box of stuff, I've managed to get all of you a pretty good discount versus buying the items individually.  I've gotten approval to test this out with 500 boxes, and I'll make sure all of you get the heads up when it's gonna launch! The boxes will be $250 (plus some surcharges in the Tier 1 list) with free shipping.

KevinCan you share what kind of odds you mean with "slight chance at a top notch pick" ?
PiteOGI'll be a variety of things that are in our marketing cupboard. If all 500 boxes sell, probably about 10 "things" will be given out. Trying to avoid spoilers because we haven't finalized the item list but my 3-year old told me a funny riddle the other day... Why was six afraid of seven?

KevinHey Kevin, when I go to checkout instead of the CTH + SDAC being an option it has the regular CTH. Just making sure that option is the CTH + SDAC, is that correct?
MattReedIt's for the CTH+SDAC. The option was setup that way because they thought we were crazy to offer the pair for just +50. You found the highest value option ;)
