International tracking is such a pain! According to the Dutch post office "The consignment has arrived in the country of destination" on November 23rd According to the UK Post office it was "Item Leaving overseas" on November 18th They've had 4 days to talk to each other!

StephenwFinally arrived today after trudging through UK import formalities. The “Double red Coral Micarta” Is a nice colour and does have a very nice feel in the hand and on mine look to be the same thickness and (almost flat) profile sa the proto pictures, and the (light) bronze packet clip and liners compliment it well. The stonewashed on the blade is quite dark and judging from the comments of those with the satin blade may hide some of the subtleties of the shape. Very nice to see the Terzuola name back above his mark (still a shame it was missing from the CTF). The flipping action is good, and the closing smooth. My hand fits perfectly between the open flipper tab and the tail of the grip although I suspect that anyone with large hands will find it just a bit tight. This is the first pocket knife I’ve had with such a curved blade and I think that it will take a bit of getting used to both for use and eventually for sharpening. For me the one thing that could be improved would be to slim down the liners which “look” too wide and are noticeably wider than the ones on the CTF, Overall I’m very happy, just wondering if I should have gone for the marbled cf with the satin finish blade....

StephenwMy experience as well. I recall this one took 24 days from the Netherlands to California! Now Massdrop could mask/avoid all this by shipping to an intermediate warehouse say here in the US and then just send email alerts when stuff leaves from that location, (as does everybody else). Another and maybe more important plus would be reasonable inventory from which to ship, replacement, exchanges, or duplicates, (say you get one and like it enough to want a second).

grampatomI've since discovered that the UK's Royal Mail don't acknowledge the package till it comes out of Customs and they scan it, even though their internal system knows where it is they don't want to tell the customer in case they get blamed for customs hold-ups.

StephenwInteresting... We're (US), getting to read about every bump and grind of the whole journey. Again, if it were only the trip, we could recognize this is what most web based sellers experience, before we buy from them. The big loser for Drop though, is the lack of a reasonable warranty fix, replacement, parts, or second purchase. Have an issue? Indeed they'll take it back and refund your money, now, (didn't used to). But then if you want to try again, you order again, and get to go through the whole shipping mess.... again.
