I wonder how many people find the "join now" vs "commit to join" options unintuitive.. Seems to me it would be clearer if there was just a drop down that said "Commit to join if the price drops to ..." with options for $899, $850 and $825.
I bet some people who are "committed at $825" would actually be happy taking the $100 at $899 discount over not getting the drop at all.
Just a thought

BeeblebroxYeah that is exactly what I saw. I had committed to the $825 but realized that if we don't get that drop I don't get anything. With 4 people that clicked purchase, I knew $100 off is still a better deal than at their website.
If you have an invite code, you get $50 off and free shipping at the EcoReco website. Plus for where I live, EcoReco charges me 10% tax, while massdrop charges 7.5%. Overall Massdrop is cheaper.
It seems if you are going to buy it, you might as well get it here now and upgrade to purchase.
I want my scooter damn it!

Blusilverright - If 5 of the 7 who are currently "committed" actually "joined", we'd get it for $870 anyway; just $45 more than the ideal result

BlusilverAs is, three more until lowest drop, with five purchases, so if you were one that decided to buy, you got one already. :)
Now I get to cancel to recommit just to change cards... such a hassle.
