Riddick, let's break down your argument:
1) While the designer of the Steinhart watch is German, it is a Swiss made watch. So it follows the same standards as set forth by the Swiss watch industry.
2) Edox watch was sold to Victor Strambini in 1983 and then relocated to Jura mountains...so "teen" vs. 30 year comparison is a little weak. The name Edox might be old, but the manufacturing base/quality is not really.
3) I believe current Tag Heuer (and IWC for that matter) watches to be ridiculously overpriced for their quality. Historically - they are a powerhouse, but currently ... not so much. However, if you want to currently overpay for the name vs. quality - hey it's your money!
