Broke after a year or so of use. Disappointed.
These IEMs sounded great, but the the right IEM went out randomly last night. I keep the IEMs in the safe pouch (that came with them) when not in use. I never dropped them, got them wet, nor stressed the cables in any way. The most I can give are two stars. Just disappointed.
CaptainMoeHi @CaptainMoe Amy here with Drop Support, sorry to hear about your IEMs. Etymotic will help you if you want to reach out to them directly at customer-service@etymotic.com. You can provide them with a receipt from your Transactions page if needed. Your IEMs should be under factory warranty period so you shouldn't run into any issues getting assistance. Hope this helps!

Great sound profile. May not be comfortable for all
Sound great! It's the exactly the sound profile i was looking. More comfortable than what i was expecting because the proper depth they're supposed to be inserted at for use. Maybe, it's because i wear earplugs regularly at work so im used to the feeling.
I got these because I've been using the Etymotic earplugs for a while, and have found these regular earplugs comfortable for extended periods. Unfortunately, the IEMs do not share that trait, even though I'm using what seems to be the exact same size and type of ear insert. The IEMs are uncomfortable for me even for short periods of time.

Daily Mobile Use
Using these with the triple flange tips since a couple of months. Got used to them very fast. Very good isolation with deep insertion in public transport and airplane, much improved quality of life. Replacement eartips for ER series are very hard to find in the EU since Etymotic shop has crazy high shipping cost. So I had to order some from UK for HD series and cut the stem shorter. Definitely would buy again! Stay strong, stay wired!
Very good sounding IEM, great clean bass. Solid uncolored midrange and a nice clear treble. All ik is these are better than the 3r and ety honestly made a mistake charging these for this cheap. These are neck & neck with the er4 series imo, they're that good.
Sound is fantastic for the price, and I am a big fan of the noise isolation provided.
Only negative is the cable connection. It seems a little loose and I occasionally have to disconnect and reconnect the earphones from the cable.
Good Sound, Tip fitment iffy, cable could be a couple of feet longer.
Received mine today from drop. Tried them with the large tips and my ears were itching 15 minutes later. Switched to the medium tips and they are much more comfortable. Best sound seems to be with the foam tips but they only give you one set of the large ones. 4 foot cable doesn't give you much to work with. I am used to having a decent length cable with my headphones and 4 foot is pretty restrictive. Sound Quality? Excellent. Having to find and order foam eartips that will actually work nicely with these. Not so excellent. Mind not blown but a solid 4 out of 5.
