The small size is very good for carrying in a pack of tools, in case an edge tool needs sharpening.
I expected to use it on my pocket knife, however it is much more convenient to use a 6 or 8 inch
sharpening stone at home. I have used it to sharpen a friend's pocket knife and various tools
in the field. The diamond side cuts well, using some soapy water to lubricate it. The ceramic side is good for putting on the micro-bevel. I will continue to carry it.
