mrochaI don't have this exact model, but I do have a Feather straight razor (Artist Club DX).
If you prefer the traditional approach, the folding razor may be better for you.
However, most will say that when you are learning the non-folding may be easier to learn.
There is less of a "juggling act" as you don't have to balance the folding portion, and may be easier to maneuver on the face.
mrochaFolded is better for beginners, at least in my experience. Having your pinky sit on the metal tail helps keep your pressure even and helps keep your hands in the proper shape. This is just my opinion from experience .
