These aren't cheap, but look like decent hikers. Anyone speak on their experience? My current hikers got kind of thrashed in last years snow.

CalaverasgrandeI have had a pair of these for about 6 months (the 6 inch ones) I didn't get them from drop. I use them for work boots in a machine shop so I wear them everyday. They seem to be holding up very well and were not crazy stiff when I started wearing them. They are very light witch was the biggest reason I wanted them. They have a hard plastic cap over the toe that is not as tuff as a steal toe for sure but it helps when you bonk your toe and light stuff falls on you. The sole is very soft and grips everything I have walked on pretty well, except when they are wet and you walk on concrete or tile. I expect this to be the thing that wears out. They are very comfortable to walk in and the long shaft (the 6 inch part) has great ankle support. I haven't really been able to test how water resistant they are and don't really hike so I'm not sure what a hiker looks for in a boot but I hope this helps a little.
